Stranded…

Month 5 of being abandoned on this island I call it, “The Island of Torture” I got stranded on this island when my ship accidentally sailed through a war zone and we were hit by a bomb we were all separated from each other, I think the ship computers were not working. Somehow and luckily I made it out alive. I swam with a wooden board until I found an island, I tried calling 911 on my phone but there was no reception. I started making my shelter with my wooden board I attached it to two trees. I tried to find some food but all I could find were some berries, they were pretty good until my face flared up. I also found a monkey and he became my friend he also brings me bananas, that’s what I’ve been eating for the last 5 months, I’ve tried fishing but there was not a single fish I could catch so I just stuck to bananas. I also wrote a giant HELP in the sand but so far no planes have flown over this island or rescue boats nothing. I’m planning on building a little cottage here to protect me from the harsh weather here but I don’t have the supplies yet. Hope I find safety soon.

The Fumigation

When I was a little kid, I came home from school and started doing my homework, after I was done with my homework I had free time so I was just going to go outside and practice some soccer. I took out the soccer and the goal and started kicking it into the net, and then I saw a giant tent over my neighbor’s house it looked like a circus canopy so I thought there would be people on tightropes in the house, professional jugglers, big crowds, clowns, lion taming, trapeze, knife throwing, magicians, fire breathing all kinds of circus stunts. So I went to ask my parents if we could go see the circus, but they laughed and said there is no circus inside it is just a fumigation. I asked what is a fumigation? They said it was a process where people with proper suits went inside the house to purify and disinfect the house with chemicals to kill the termites and other bugs in the house. Even though that was not a circus I still used to imagine it as a circus.

RAD READING – January

This month I read the book called Ground Zero by Alan Gratz I have not finished reading this book yet; I am currently on page 169, but I have really liked this book so far. It is about a boy called Brandon and a girl called Reshmina after each chapter it goes from Brandon to Reshmina and so forth. 9 year old Brandon is on the 107th floor of the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001 he went to work with his dad because Brandon got suspended from his school for punching a kid in the nose and out of nowhere a plane crashes into the World Trade Center and Brandon and his dad are separated. He got separated from his dad while he was trying to buy something on the lower floor. Brandon gets stuck in an elevator with random people but he manages to get out of the elevator, he has to stick with the random people who were in the elevator to get to safety. Will Brandon find his dad and get out of the building to safety before both the North and South Tower collapse? The eleven year old girl Reshmina lives in a small village in Afghanistan. Reshmina has grown up in war, but she dreams of peace and progress. When a battle erupts in her village, Reshmina finds a wounded American soldier named Taz. But if she saves the American soldier her family can be in danger. Should she help the American soldier Taz and put herself and her family in mortal danger?

I am really liking this book because it is very suspenseful and entertaining it does not get you bored this book makes you want to turn to the next page, I really recommend this book in your reading list. My favorite character from the book is Brandon I like Brandon because he is really brave a quote to prove Brandon is brave is when the book states, “Brandon stood on the broken edge of the World Trade Center, looking straight out into the bright blue September sky. Strong winds whipped his hair around his face, and burning papers fluttered down from somewhere above him. Exposed electric wires sparked in the sheared-off walls.” This quote shows Brandon is brave because he stands right on a broken edge in the World Trade Center where there used to be an office but now that the plane hit the tower it was just nothing just the sky and him super high above the city if I were there I would definitely faint and fall to my death. My favorite quote from the book is when the book states, “Brandon slipped farther behind the big white guy and watched the red digital numbers on the floors tick by. 94, 93, 92, 91, 90, 89, 88, 87, 86 — THOOM. Something boomed above them, and the elevator suddenly went sideways.” This is my favorite quote from the book because this is where all the suspense starts when the plane crashes and everything gets scary and makes you nervous.

My Favorite Quote From Dumbledore

Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times. When one only remembers to turn on the light. This quote means that bad situations may be overwhelming for a person but the person has the option to face the struggle to find a place where there is happiness. I have experienced this situation when I was in elementary school and toward the end of the school year there was a play for the American Revolution I was scared I would mess up my part and I knew I still had to do the play no matter what I was in it with my friends, so I just pushed through and It actually turned out good and I was happy my friends also did really good we were all proud of each other.

My Hero

My hero’s are my parents they have raised me since I was born I have food, they take care of my siblings and I. I have a roof under my head, I have clothes and I am lucky for having all that because some kids don’t have any of that, some kids don’t have any parents, no food nothing no clean clothes. My parents work many hours a day just so my siblings and I can have the things we want and be happy. My dad has to wake up very early to attend his meetings he has meetings throughout the day and I feel bad because when he’s done with all his meeting he is very tired and he’s just doing this to pay the bills and to buy stuff to make us happy. My mom also works very hard she cooks for us she cleans the house all the time even if it is spotless she works as a tutor. I am very thankful for the family I have.

RAD READING – December

This month I read a book called Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling This book is about a young boy named Harry Potter he lives with the Dursley’s his horrible aunt and uncle and their son Dudley. His parents died to an evil wizard Voldemort, his mom saved Harry’s life by getting killed and Voldemort tried to kill Harry as well but Harry survived and got a scar on his forehead the shape of a lightning bolt. Harry’s room is a tiny closet below the stairs. The Dursley’s don’t care for him they don’t celebrate his birthday the last time he had a birthday was eleven years ago. But all that changes when he gets a letter from an owl with an invitation to the most magical place Hogwarts. There he finds friends, learns magic, learns a sport which involves flying on a broomstick, and more.

I liked this book because it’s not a book where once you get 50 pages in you get bored this is a fun entertaining book, I like the characters, I like the magic, and I like the action. I really recommend this book to anyone who hasn’t read this yet. My favorite character is Harry Potter because he is brave and determined. Harry Potter is brave, a quote to show when Harry Potter is brave is when the book states, “Harry then did something that was both very brave and very stupid: He took a great running jump and managed to fasten his arms around the trolls neck from behind.” This shows Harry is brave because he jumped on the troll’s neck to save his friend Hermione from getting hit by with the troll’s club. My favorite quote from this book is,” It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up for our friends.” This quote is meaningful to me because it does take a lot courage and bravery to stand up to our enemies and just as much to stand up for our friends.

The Word I Am Going To Focus On This Year

This years I am going to focus on the word success. Here are a few reasons why I am going to focus on this word this year. It is important to be successful in life you need it to live its like water you can’t live without water and without success you will have a bad life if you are successful in life you can get a good job and the car you want a house and so on. First I am using success because I want to be successful this year and get straight A’s, last semester I got straight A’s and I want that to happen this year as well. Second to be successful I have to study and pay attention in class and try not to be absent, so I don’t miss important things. Lastly in order to focus on my word, I have to study for all tests so I can pass them all and get A’s on my grades I also have to complete all my assignments.

Principal For The Day

It would be awesome, radical, cool, sick, nice, epic, super, superb, totally rad, to be principal for the day! First off all it is very hard to become principal it requires many years of formal education and advanced degrees. Being the principal is very difficult it is basically like being the president but just for a school. They need to make sure that all the students and staff are safe they also need to be prepared in case of emergencies they have to deal with hundreds of kids they also need to have a great personality because they are dealing with kids with different ethnicities and some principles even take the time to memorize some of the kids names. If I were principal for the day I would serve pizza for lunch because we have not had pizza for lunch in forever the last time the school had pizza for lunch was like a year ago. Then at the end of the day there will be a movie and everyone is welcome without any ticket that costs money and there will be snacks like popcorn, candy, chips, and drinks.

The Black Belt Monkey

Once there was a monkey his name was James, everyone didn’t like James everybody knew him as a nobody they were always mean to him. But one day there was a gang of hyenas attacking him but then all of a sudden an old monkey was beating up the hyenas that were beating up James he was very good at fighting even though he was old, James thanked the old monkey for saving him and asked him if he could teach him karate, the old monkey said I don’t teach anymore James begged and begged and the old monkey finally said fine. James would train every single day without breaks but soon he became the best karate monkey there is, he could do all sorts of cool tricks. Everyone loved him he was no longer a nobody he stood out he was popular. One day the king monkey gave him a job and it was to protect all the other monkeys and to protect all of the territory that belonged to them from the hyenas, because all the hyenas were very mean and tried to take the monkey’s territory, but none of the monkeys knew where he learned karate because all the other monkeys could do was climb trees and eat bananas. James went and thanked the old monkey for teaching him karate James asked for the old monkeys name and the old monkey responded Abel and then Abel gave James his old black belt and before James could say anything Abel climbed off into the trees never to be seen again.

Rad Reading – November

This month I read the book called Where The Red Ferns Grows by Wilson Rawls. This book takes place in the Ozark mountains a boy named Billy has always dreamed of having two coonhounds to go hunting with, but his family could not afford the dogs so Billy started saving money and he finally saved enough money to get the dogs and he names one Old Dan and the other Little Ann, they go hunting and soon become the best hunters in the valley. This book follows their adventures in the Ozarks and explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and the bond between humans and animals. This book is a happy, adventurous, and it’s an emotional book.

I liked this book because it is very fun to read it was adventurous but emotional I really like dog stories I really recommend this book. My favorite character from this book is Billy he is really loyal, determined, and faithful and he just has a cool personality, he really loves his two dogs and he loves hunting. Billy is determined a quote from the book that shows he is determined is when the book states, “I want hounds-coon hounds-and I want two of them. I could tell by the look on his face that he wanted to help me, but couldn’t. He said, Billy, those dogs cost money, and that’s something we don’t have right now. Maybe someday when we can afford it, you can have them, but not right now. I didn’t give up” This quote shows Billy is determined because even though his family can’t afford the dogs he isn’t going to give up he is going to save up his own money to get them and go hunting with them. My favorite quote from the book is when the text states, “My heart started acting like a drunk grasshopper.” I like this quote because Billy is saying his heart was acting like a drunk grasshopper which means that his heart is beating very rapidly like how a grasshopper leaps across the grass but instead the grasshopper would be jumping everywhere rapidly.
