This month I read the book called “Ski Spy School” by Stuart Gibbs this book is about a kid named Ben and his friends he has to go on a mission called Operation Snow Bunny his objective is to prevent a man named Leo Shang because he is doing illegal activities in the Colorado Rockies. He has to enroll in ski school and get close to the daughter of Leo Shang to get the proper information he needs like the things Leo Shang and his crew are plotting and his plans so he can stop him. He also needs to be careful of any bodyguards or threats to him. Will Ben survive this mission and complete it successfully or fail it and get killed?

I liked this book because I always like suspense and mystery and action it creates more imagery in your head and that is why I like this book it gives everything in good detail. My favorite character is Ben because he is funny, brave, and determined. Ben is brave a quote from the book to prove my claim is when the book states, “…The helicopter opened fire again. Bullets shredded the tiny building, then raced across the snowy plain toward us, leaving a trail of tiny geysers We reached the safety of the trees just in time.” This shows Ben is brave because he was able to escape a helicopter firing bullets at him making it seem easy without any fear. My favorite quote from the book is, “Do you have the hots for Jessica Shang? Cyrus asked accusingly. No! I lied, selling it as hard as I could. I don’t even think she’s attractive. In fact, to be totally honest, she’s kind of ugly. I actually feel sorry for her.” This quote is meaningful to me because Ben does have a crush on Leo Shang’s daughter but he just doesn’t want to show it which is actually kind of funny.

Hi this week I worked on my tri-fold. I accomplished making the title I made it in bubble letters and wrote “Piano” on it next week I will probably decorate it more and add some pictures and drawings on it and color in the title. I am also practicing For Elise at my house on my piano and I am hoping I master it in the next couple of weeks. I didn’t really have any struggles, but writing the title in bubble letters was a little difficult but not too difficult. Some adjustments I made were instead of working more on the history of piano I thought I should also put some time into my tri-fold and make it look nice. On the weekends and weekdays I will practice For Elise at home so I can master it and play it very well, smoothly and play it at a good pace. Thank you see you next week!

Hi it’s Nate again, this week my goal was to try and learn famous people today and then that played the piano, I also learned some chords and started to learn For Elise. Something I accomplished this week is that when I got home I practiced some chords on my own piano and some notes to For Elise. A struggle I had this week was timing the notes at the right time on my piano at home. Some adjustments I made were putting the key I needed to play on the piano like C D E F G A or B next to the note on the paper of the notes for the song. Next week I will practice some of the notes I need to play for my right hand and try and work with my left hand as well. See you next time for the next blog coming up. Thank you!

It is important to be a good neighbor. Being a good neighbor is not difficult there are many ways you can become good friends with your neighbor and become a good neighbor. Saying hi when they walk by you or when you just see them is very polite, letting them borrow your lawnmower when theirs breaks down, or inviting them to dinner or just to come hangout at your house, or just baking them a sweet treat are some things to make you become a good neighbor. Some more examples is if they have a kid or some kids, you should invite them to come play at your house play some ball outside or play video games and hang out. Also communicate with them get to know them better. Always pick up your dog’s poop as well because no one wants to see it on their yard! Lastly if there is a new neighbor that just moved in give them a proper greeting, welcome them to the neighborhood, and you can bake them a sweet treat as well.

Hi my name is Nate, this week I worked on learning the notes on the piano the white keys and the black keys, I also learned about some of the most famous composers that played the piano. I accomplished learning the different letters for the notes like C D E F G A B and one way to know how to read the notes on the lines is every (E) good (G) boy (B) does (D) fine (F) and only in the spaces you read it F A C E. I didn’t have any any struggles this week but I kind of struggled on the black keys because there are flats and sharps. An adjustment I made was when I just talked about the notes on the piano when I was taking notes but then I thought of drawing a diagram with the notes on the piano keys to help me better understand the notes on the piano. Next week I am going to research a famous and well known song and learn how to play it. Thanks for reading see you next week!

This summer I am going to Honolulu Hawaii, I am really looking forward to this because this is the first time I am going with my two cousins that haven’t been to Hawaii ever, all the other times I went on my own with my family and with my other cousin but this time I am going with both cousins, we will be staying at a resort and spa called Aulani it has swimming pools, scuba diving, breakfast, restaurants, you can also go to the ocean, rent a boat, and you can also meet the Disney characters, they also sometimes have shows and dances, water slides gift shops, and more. Aulani is a Disney resort made by Disney it is kind of like Disneyland, except it is in Hawaii and it doesn’t have any rides it just has some water slides and pools like a water park but way more fun. The hotel rooms are really nice and have a really nice view from the balcony. There are also really good places to eat nearby there are some stores as well. That is what I have to share for my free write.

Hello my name is Nate, for my 20% project I am learning about the piano, like how the piano functions, what are the most famous songs played on the piano, who are some of the greatest composers, how to play one of the famous songs etc. This week my goal was to learn how the piano functions and what do the pedals do on the piano. I took a photo of the different names of the pedals the names are the Soft Pedal the one on the left, the Sostenuto Pedal the one in the middle, and lastly the Sustain pedal the one on the right. I did not have any struggles this week, however there was a lot of things to learn about the mechanism when you press one of the piano keys. When you press a note it is a chain reaction that leads to a hammer that hits a string the lower the note the thicker the string and makes the sound last more and there is a thing called the Damper on top of the string and when you take off your finger from the key the Damper falls down and stops the sound, the higher the note the thinner string. The sound lasts a little bit and doesn’t need a Damper because the sound fades away so quickly it doesn’t really make a difference. This is all I learned this week see you next week.

There are so many people I would want to invite to dinner, but these are my top three: Bugs Bunny, SpongeBob SquarePants and Daffy Duck are three people I would love to invite to dinner at my house. Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are from Looney Tunes and SpongeBob is also from a show that takes place in Bikini Bottoms. The reason I would want to have dinner with Bugs Bunny because he is a funny, and cool cartoon character and I just think it would be cool having Bugs Bunny at your dinner table. Next is Daffy Duck he is also a very funny cartoon character and I used to love Looney Tunes as a kid so that is why I chose Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. Lastly is SpongeBob the reason I chose SpongeBob is because he would be the one that cooks he would cook Krabby Patties. I have always wanted to try Krabby Patties they just look really good. Those are all the reasons why I would have dinner with these cartoon characters.

My dream job is to be a doctor. The reason I want to be a doctor is because I like helping other people it is just a good feeling when you help someone. I also want to become a doctor because you have trust from other people because they trust you to help them feel better. My third reason is I like challenges and it is difficult to become a doctor, but not impossible you have to work hard do good in school, pass a medical test, apply for a medical school and earn a medical license. My fourth reason is there will be a variety of career paths I can take if I can become a doctor, like emergency medicine, general medicine, pathology, pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery, anesthetics, neurology, sports medicine, cardiology, internal medicine, trauma, orthopedics, and more. My last reason my dream job is to become a doctor is because it is really interesting to learn about medicine, the human body, the functions of the human body and so much more.

I am invisible for 24 hours! First I would rob a store and get all the games for my console and I would also get the newest version of my console the PS5 because I have the PS4 and it’s pretty outdated. Next I can just sneak in into games for free at stadiums like football, soccer, hockey, and more because the tickets are usually very expensive and I can watch my favorite teams and players in person not on tv. Next I would scare people by lifting objects and it will look like the objects are floating on their own. Lastly I would sneak on a plane and travel to Hawaii go swimming chill for a couple of hours. Fly back home which leaves me with like 2 hours left, rush home and make it just in time and that’s what I would do if I had invisibility for 24 hours.
